News/Announcement Listings
News items are an ideal way to publish news and announcements on your website
without having to make web programming changes each time. News items have an
effective date, a title, a memo area and a "further information" web address field.
You can select news items by date just like you do with events. Likewise, OnMyCalendar
provides tremendous flexibility in displaying your news listings.
Basic listing
Put a summary on your home page and a detailed listing on a "news" page.
Add a bit of the story
Have OnMyCalendar include a portion of the news item in your news listing.
Web visitors can click on the title for the whole story.
Or include the whole story
This example includes the date and title on the same line, followed by
the full news item detail.
List items in forward or reverse order
In reverse order, your most recent news item is at the top of the
list. This is ideal for news listings that include set up as an
archive.
